About Deso IT Lab

Our story

Deso IT Lab started with a pattern our founder kept seeing in Kigali: graduates who could describe a routing protocol but had never configured one, and employers who needed people ready for the rack on Monday morning.

The first class ran in a single room with borrowed switches and eight students. Every session ended with hands on equipment, and every module closed with the same question: can you do this without help? That format has not changed, only the size of the lab.

Most of our work now arrives as a group. An employer with a support desk to bring up to standard, a university sending a class, several institutions pooling students into one cohort, a foundation funding a sponsored intake. We build each one as a closed cohort from our lab on KN 4 Avenue at Imbuga City Walk.

Our mission

Deliver high-quality, hands-on IT training programs that equip learners with practical skills, industry certifications, and career confidence.

Our vision

Be a leading IT training institution empowering individual with cutting-edge skills across Rwanda and beyond.

Why organisations pick us

Cohorts stay small

We cap a room rather than fill it, so every learner in your group gets time on equipment and time with the instructor.

Practitioner instructors

Taught by engineers and project managers who still do the work they are teaching, in Rwandan networks and projects.

Signed off on doing

No module is signed off on theory alone. If a learner cannot do it unaided, we run it again.

Procurement-ready

Proposals, invoices, data agreements and per-learner reporting in the format your finance or grant office needs.

Who teaches your group

Practitioners first, instructors second. Each one still works in the field they teach.
